Install Skills in Claude

This guide covers installing skills in Claude.ai (web) and Claude Code (CLI). Looking for OpenAI Codex? See Install Skills in OpenAI Codex.

Step 1: Download from SkillHub

1. Browse skills on SkillHub
2. Click on a skill to view its details
3. Click the "Download" button to get the skill package

Step 2: Install the Skill

Choose the installation method for your environment:

For Claude.ai (Web)

Prerequisites: Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise subscription with Code execution enabled.

1. Go to Settings → Capabilities in Claude.ai
2. Click "Upload skill"
3. Select the .zip file you downloaded from SkillHub
4. The skill will appear in your installed skills list

For Claude Code (CLI)

1. Extract the downloaded .zip file
2. Copy the extracted folder to one of these locations:
   • ~/.claude/skills/ — Available globally across all projects
   • your-project/.claude/skills/ — Available only in that project
3. Restart Claude Code to access the new skill. Use the --continue flag to continue your conversation with the new skill loaded.

Verifying Installation

• Claude.ai: Check Settings → Capabilities to see your installed skills
• Claude Code: Claude will automatically use the skill when relevant to your task
